Margaret A. Easterday (nee Bennett), age 82, of Lorain, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
Born June 13, 1939 in West Virginia to the late Robert and Opal (nee Meadows) Bennett, she moved to Lorain in 1956.
Margaret was a warm-hearted person, homemaker and devoted Catholic. She was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria. She adored her family and loved gardening, flowers and reading.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Jane (Bert) Rossman, Mark Bennett, Diana Khoma, Amy (Jeff) Bennett, Bobby Bennett, Vicki (Kieth) Davis and Susan Herendeen; and several nieces and nephews on her late husband’s side of the family.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Richard Easterday in 1994; daughter, Mary Beth Easterday in 1987; and brothers, Jim Bennett and William Bennett.
Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m. in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 41295 N. Ridge Road, Elyria. Rev. Donald Dunson, will officiate. Burial will follow in St Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
