Manuela “Nollie” Serrano-Cabrera, age 69, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain.
Born January 1, 1951 in Humacao, Puerto Rico to Eugenio and Carmen (nee Mestre) Serrano, she moved to Lorain in 1956.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, salsa dancing as well as watching sports.
Surviving are her children, Alfredo (Angie) Serrano of Medina, Erika (Gregory) Hoskins, Jaime (Nyeisha) Cabrera, and Carmen (Drew) Tejada all of Lorain; grandchildren, Dezarae Gracia, Isaiah Serrano of Louisville Kentucky, Le’Azia Garrett, Andresja DeArmas, Selvester (Toogie) Montanez, Makayla, Mariana Serrano of Medina, Nyijah, Jaime Jr., Jaimerus, Lulahnii Cabrera, Anthony Lorenzo, and Analia Guzman all of Lorain; siblings, Thomas Serrano, Eugenio (Diana) Serrano Jr., Luis Serrano, Daniel Serrano, Elizer Serrano, all of Lorain, Isreal Serrano, and Joe (Yahaira) Serrano, both of Orlando Florida, Olga Sanchez, Leyda (Kevin) Jackson, Ruthy (Floyd) Payne, all of Lorain, Lillian (Robin) Glasper, Elizabeth (Lymon) Williams of Gainsville, Georgia; several nieces, nephews and family and friends; daughter in-laws, Charmaine (Suggie) Brown, and Francis Serrano. She will be dearly missed also by her loving sons she loved as her own, Danny, and David Rodriguez.
She was preceded in death by both her parents; sons, Candido Serrano, Andres (Andy) DeArmas; grandson, Michael Serrano as well as her brothers, Eliseo Serrano, and Samuel Serrano.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 2 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral services at 4:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Interment will follow at a later date in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
