Victoria Gonzales (nee Mendoza), 80, of Lorain, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic following a short illness.
Born Nov. 17, 1932 in Lorain, she lived in Lorain her entire life. She attended Clearview High School and Lorain Cosmetology School. Victoria enjoyed boating, shopping, and dining out. She enjoyed being an artist and loved spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren.
Surviving is her daughter, Carol (Edward) Armbruster of Lorain; grandchildren, Lisa and Eric; and a brother, Bellen Mendoza of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by her cousins; Jody Garcia and Tomasa Silva, and numerous other cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bellen and Antonia (Garcia) Mendoza; and a brother and two sisters.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-9 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor of the Church of St. Peter, Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
