Theresa G. Stevens

Theresa G. “Tee” Stevens, age 63, of Lorain, passed away on April 13, 2021 while visiting her sister, Andrea in Ravenna, Ohio.

Born January 29, 1958 in San Pedro, California to the late William and Betty Jean (nee Carson) Stevens, Theresa came to Lorain with her family in 1961. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1976 and went on to study at Lorain Business College.  Theresa was a certified Phlebotomist and State Tested Nursing Assistant.  For many years, she loved working and caring for people as a STNA, always treating her patients as if they were her own family.

She was a member of Church on the North Coast, Lorain.  Theresa served as president of the Lorain Metropolitan Housing club for many years and enjoyed spending time working on the flower beds at International Plaza where she lived.  With competition amongst other high rises for the most beautiful flower beds, Theresa’s flower beds had won many first-place awards over the years.  She dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving is her daughter, Carrie Stevens of Lorain; grandchildren, US Army Sergeant Brandon, Daniel, Khadijah, Ashley and Carrie Jr.; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, William; and sisters, Barbara, Cathy, Michelle, Deborah, Becky, Patti and Andrea; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, John and sisters, Wanda and Georgia.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the time of services at 3:30 pm in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Theresa’s brother, William will officiate.

What a blessing it was to spend some time with you. Your always so kind and sweet. Speaking softly to friends, family and strangers. You will be truly missed, never forgotten and looking forward to seeing you again sis.

I was Theresas MA Instructor at ESI and taught her Phlebotomy. Theresa was an amazing Phlebotomist, a natural. She had the knack for it immediately. I was very proud of her and her accomplishments. Theresa always spoke of her daughter Carrie and her grandchildren. They were her life. I want to offer my sincere condolences to you all. Theresa and I kept in touch with phone calls and I knew of her life and how she became sober and got saved by the grace of God and she spoke about Heaven with me and I know that is where she is now residing. Theresa had the kindest soul and most beautiful heart and I will never forget her. Prayers Carrie sent to you for your peace and comfort.

Mom;
Something will remind me ..I never know just when.. It might be a song you love or something someone says...And it all comes back again.
The times we spent together...The happiness..The fun..
Once again I feel the pain of life without MY MOM... Its says that time is a healer...Im not sure this is true.
There is not going to be a day that goes by Mom that I wont cry for you...

I love you so much mommy
