Tashanda Collins, born on August 18, 1975, in Lorain, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her hometown on August 3, 2025. Throughout her life, Tashanda exemplified the true meaning of love and dedication, particularly as a devoted mother to her special needs son, Rashawyn Thompson. Her unwavering commitment to his well-being and happiness was a testament to her nurturing spirit, and she cherished every moment spent with him.

Tashanda had an affinity for nature, finding joy in plants and planting, which reflected her vibrant personality. She also enjoyed engaging in the community, loving to play bingo and dancing. These hobbies not only enriched her life but also brought smiles to those around her.

In addition to being a proud mother, Tashanda is remembered fondly by her siblings: Christopher (Savannah Smith) Collins, Paulette (Christy Nixion) Riggins, and Lakeesha (Timothy Garza) Collins-Garza. Her family includes seven nieces and nephews who will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion, as well as two great-nieces and one great-nephew, ensuring that her spirit continues to shine through the generations.

Tashanda's departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her son, Rashawyn Thompson; parents, Judy Collins and Otha Collins, and her brother, Michael Collins. Each of them will be honored in the memories they shared together, a bond that remains unbroken despite their passing.

Her life was a unique mosaic of love, care, and dedication, and while she has left this earthly realm, the impact she made on her family and friends will be felt for years to come. Tashanda Collins will always be remembered for her strength, her kindness, and her unfaltering love.
