Stephen Jones

Stephen Jones, of Lorain, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2026, in his hometown of Lorain. He was born on December 24, 1961, in Lorain, a city that remained the setting of his life from beginning to end.

Stephen will be remembered for his quiet faithfulness, his kind spirit, and the simple joys that brought him peace. For 25 years, he volunteered at the Salvation Army, giving generously of his time and reflecting a life marked by service to others. He also enjoyed building puzzles and listening to his Christian music, pastimes that spoke to his thoughtful nature and the comfort he found in faith and reflection.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Hubert and Elizabeth Jones, and by his brother, Jeff Jones.

Stephen leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory forward. He is survived by his brothers, Randy Jones, Dewey Jones, Robert Jones, Brian Jones, and Gerald Jones, and by his sisters, Annie Alves and Cheryl Sanchez. In their hearts, and in the hearts of all who knew him, Stephen’s life will be remembered with affection, gratitude, and love.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists handled the arrangements.
