Shirley Staveskie

Shirley Staveskie (nee Coley), age 63, passed away on August 7, 2025 at New Life Hospice in Lorain. She was born on February 9, 1962, in Lorain, Ohio, where she spent her life nurturing her family and friendships with her kind spirit.

Shirley was not only known for her unwavering love for her family but also for her deep faith and love for the Lord. Her kindness shone through in every interaction, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her. She was passionate about reading her Bible and singing, which enriched her life and the lives of those around her.

She is survived by her loving siblings, Eddy Sturgill, Bill (Andrea) Sturgill, Judy Ferguson, Jennifer (James) Cobb, and Connie (Jimmy) Prescott; nieces and nephews, Lonnie, Kimberly, Jamie, Nicole, Stephen, Jenna, Shawna, Cara, Tammy, Sarah, Brian, Marcus, Jamie and Bradley, as well as her cherished cat, Max. Shirley's passing marks a profound loss to her family and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gladys Coley, and her siblings, John Sturgill and Peggy Keppler.

Visitation will be held at Dovin Funeral And Cremation Specialists, located at 2701 Elyria Ave, Lorain, Ohio 44055, on August 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A memorial service will follow, starting at 6:00 PM, where a time of remembrance will honor Shirley's life and legacy.
