Sharon L. Lockhart

Sharon L. Lockhart (nee Aliff), age 70, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2020 at Autumn Aegis Retirement Community in Lorain, Ohio.

Born February 27, 1950 to John and Sanie Aliff in Odd, West Virginia, Sharon moved to Lorain in the 1960s.  In Lorain she served as a nurse at Harborside in Westlake, Ohio for 20 years.  In 2005 she moved to North Carolina where she worked as a nurse for Village King Nursing Home in King, North Carolina until her return to Lorain in 2014.

She enjoyed camping, swimming and ceramics.

Surviving is her significant other of 38 years, Darrell Lockhart and brothers, John Aliff and Dale Fletcher; Darrell Lockhart’s family, Gene (Sarah) Lockhart, Nick Lockhart, Pam Hall, Debbie Mitchell, Guynith Branham; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Serina Pegram; both parents as well as many of her brothers and sisters.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 26 at 11:00 a.m. in Midway Baptist Church, 41812 Griswold Rd, Elyria.  Pastor Rick Keese will officiate. Memorial contributions in Sharon’s honor can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202. Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists handled the arrangements.
