Santa Gutierrez

Santa Gutierrez, age 87, of Lorain, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022, at St. Mary of the Woods in Avon following a short illness.

Born February 5, 1935, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, she came to Lorain in the late 1950’s.

Santa was a member of House of Praise International Church in Lorain and was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking.

Santa is survived by her two sons, Nicolas (Janie) Cruz of Anna, TX, and Reynolds (Evelyn) Cruz of Lorain; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter; and brother, Ramon Serrano of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Pedro in 2008; her daughter, Evelyn Cruz; and several sisters.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.  Visitation will also be held on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at House of Praise International Church, 4321 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.  Rev. Gilbert Silva will officiate.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
