Rosemary R. Hritsko

Rosemary R. Hritsko (nee Gallam), 88, of Lorain, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Amherst Manor Retirement Community, following a lengthy illness.
Born March 20, 1926 in Elyria, she moved to Lorain in 1954.
Rosemary worked in the cafeteria at Lincoln Elementary in Lorain for 15 years. Prior to that, she worked for Lorain Works US Steel as a crane operator and at A & P grocery store as a cashier.
She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Lorain, where she attended bible classes and volunteered there cleaning the church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting and cooking.
Surviving are her sons, Peter J. Jr. (Judy) of Vermilion and Ronald M. (Lori) of Lorain; grandsons, Jacob, Jason and Justin; a brother, Arthur Gallam Jr. of Wellington.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Peter J. Hritsko Sr. in 2001; her sisters, Ruth DeChant and Mary Brooks; and her parents, Arthur and Zepha (nee Hayden) Gallam.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 pm until Parastas Service at 7:00 pm in Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Friends may also call on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, 2238 E. 32nd Street, Lorain. The Very Reverend Basil Stoyka, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
