Roger H. Strickling, age 68, of Lorain, died on Thursday, May 19, 2005 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center - West, following a short illness.
He was born on September 30, 1936 in MacFarlan, West Virginia, he was raised in the
Kipton - Oberlin area before moving to Lorain in 1986.
He was employed as a grounds crew helper at Oberlin College for 22 years, retiring in 1978.
He is survived by his son: Roger Nance, daughter: Julie Simons, 1 grandson and sister: Peggy Furby of Harrisville, West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents: William H. and Icy Belle (nee Roberts) Strickling Olsen McRoberts and brother in infancy.
A graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Camden Twp Cemetery, Rt. 20 between Rt. 511 and Gifford Road.
The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling the arrangements.
