Rodger L. Mussell, Sr., age 59, of Sheffield Lake, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at St. John Westshore, Westlake, after a lengthy illness.
He was born on September 4, 1956 in Huron and has lived most of his life in Lorain. He was a 1975 graduate of Lorain High School. Rodger loved hunting and fishing and listening to Bluegrass music. Affectionately known as "Papaw" by his grandchildren, nothing made him more happy than to be with them, along with his entire family.
Rodger is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Lenda S. (nee Scalf) Mussell, his 4 children' Melissa Yeamans, of Lorain, Tiffany (Michael) Gray, of Ashland, Rebecca Mussell, of Lorain, and Rodger Mussell, Jr., of Lorain, his 13 grandchildren. 3 brothers; Gary, John, and Scott, and his sister, Maryetta Perez.
He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Alberta (nee Taylor) Mussell and a sister, Jodi Sanders.
