Roberto Cortes Alvarez

Roberto Cortes, age 70, of Lorain, died on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at University Hospital Medical Center of Elyria after a short illness.
Born August 6, 1945 in Arecibo, PR, he has lived in Lorain for over 40 years.
Roberto was employed as an auto body mechanic at Bills Auto Body Shop and Kelly Ray's Auto Body Shop, both in Lorain.
He enjoyed working on cars and visiting the lake.
He is survived by his sons, David (Mary) Cortes, Jose (Jessica) Cortes, both of Lorain and Robert Cortes of Atlanta, GA; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; and a sister, Maria Roman of Puerto Rico.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Domingo Cortes Torres and Tonya Alvarez.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 2-6 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Mr. Tony DeGracia, will officiate.
