Risa Suzuki Kowalski, age 35, of Lorain, died on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 in the Emergency Room at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center - West, Lorain, following a sudden illness.
She was born on February 20, 1972 in Kyoto, Japan, moving to Lorain in 2001.
In Japan she was employed as a currier, transporting documents and laboratory samples servicing many doctors.
Risa enjoyed cooking Japanese style food, photography, knitting, and video games.
She is survived by her husband of 5 years: Richard Kowalski, daughter, Nana Joanne Kowalski, of the home, parents: Mithuo and Yoshiko Suzuki of Kyoto, Japan, brothers: Nobuyuk Suzuki, of Chiba, Japan and Shinichi Suzuki, Kyoto, Japan, and sister: Rie Taniquchi of Kyoto, Japan.
Private services will be held for the family. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling the arrangements.
