Rebecca Marquez

Rebecca Marquez, a beloved member of her community, was born on February 22, 1949, in Lorain, Ohio. She departed this life on June 16, 2025, in Westlake, Ohio. For three decades, Rebecca dedicated herself to a distinguished career with the Department of Defense, where her commitment and hard work were integral to her role.

A proud graduate of Admiral King High School in 1967, Rebecca furthered her education by attending Lorain County Community College. She cherished her experiences there and always emphasized the value of education throughout her life.

Rebecca was a person of many passions and interests. She found joy in the whimsical world of Disney, Barbies and delighted in spending hours reading. Above all, Rebecca was proudest of her family, nurturing those relationships with love and care.

She is survived by her sons, William (Catherine) Marquez and Sean Marquez; grandchildren, Kristina, Kayne, Monica, Andrew, Kayla, and Adien as well as many great grandchildren. Her siblings, Wayne Hall, Patty Gornek, Bobbi (Violet) Hall, Brenda Hall, and Diana Hall, continue her legacy of love and connection.

Rebecca is preceded in death by her father, Crit Hall; her mother, Patricia Knisley; her sister, Donna Hall; and her brother, Crit Hall.

Visitation will take place on June 21, 2025, at Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists in Lorain, Ohio, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at the same location beginning at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.

Rebecca Marquez’s life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and joy. She leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by her family and friends, forever remembered in their hearts.
