Randall Lee Tookie Driver, 53, of Lorain, died Thursday, November 11, 2004 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain following a lengthy illness.
Born Feb. 11, 1951 in Galveston, KY, he came to Lorain in 1953 and has lived here since.
He was a 1970 graduate of Lorain High School, and then served in the US Army for 2 years having received the Combat Infantry Badge, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, 2 Overseas Bars, Air Medal and a Bronze Star.
He is survived by his son; Brian Driver of Jacksonville, FL, daughter; Heidi Driver of Jacksonville, FL, his mother; Marie (nee Hall) Driver of Lorain, 4 grandchildren, brother; Ronald Driver of Hickory, NC, sisters; Helen Weaver and Brenda Driver both of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his father; Leonard Driver in 2003.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. The Veterans of Foreign War Post 451 of Lorain and the American Legion Post 30 of Lorain will conduct full military honors on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
