Paul Rodriguez

The family of Paul Rodriguez regrets to inform you of his passing in March 2025.

Paul was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, July 1st, 1947, and came to Lorain with his family as a small child. He graduated from Clearview High School in 1966. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army and served as a military policeman in South Vietnam and Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. He subsequently worked for Ford at the Lorain Assembly Plant on the commercial line, retiring March 29, 2003, after 30 years.

While at Ford, Paul was part of the UAW’s golf league and was a passionate golfer each and every summer weekend. He loved animals and nature, and after retiring spent much of his time in the Lorain County Metro Parks and at Lakeview Park. He also enjoyed watching movies and loved music. He was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan and had a knack for picking winning scratch-off lottery tickets.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Leslie; sister Maria; brothers Mike, Nelson, and Hector; and several nephews and nieces. His mother Santos, sister Mary Arellano, and brothers Lonsi and Ermi Rodriguez preceded him in death.

Graveside services will be held at 12:15 PM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, on Friday, April 11th.
