Nora F. Staley (nee Pidcock) 82, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain, following a short illness.
Born July 30, 1933 in Elizabeth, West Virginia, she graduated from Wirt County High School before moving to Lorain over 45 years ago.
Nora was a caring and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She took pride in being a homemaker and loved flowers and angels.
Surviving is her son, Michael of Lorain; daughters, Linda Hamilton and Chris (Paul) Winkler both of Lorain, and Patty (Andy) Bailey of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by he husband of 48 years, Donald in 2003; her parents, John and Alma (Somerville) Pidcock; and brothers, Arley Leon Pidcock and Harold Lowe Pidcock.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Rev. Aarob Webb, pastor of Beacon Baptist Church, Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. To send online condolences go to www.dovinfuneralhome.com.
