Michael Taulbee

Michael J. Taulbee, age 73, of Lorain, passed away Friday, August 08, 2025, at University Hospital in Cleveland following a short illness.

Born December 19, 1951, in Portsmouth, Ohio, he has been a Lorain resident for the past 41 years.

Michael started his career at the Ford Motor Company in Lorain and later transferred to Ford’s Avon plant, retiring in 2008 with over 30 years of service.

He enjoyed fishing and working on cars and was loved by many.

Michael's love for his family was boundless. He is survived by his wife, Darlene (nee Robbins); sons, Charles Taulbee and Michael Taulbee; daughters, Nicki Taulbee, Barbara Taulbee, and Summer (Stephen) Bragg; five granddaughters, nine grandsons; brothers, David Lawhorn and Kevin Lawhorn; sisters, Sherrel Muck and Janet Jordan; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Seldon and Martha (nee Jarrels) Taulbee; grandsons, Jayden Curry, Jacob Curry, and James Bragg; brothers, Edward Taulbee and Ralph Taulbee; and a sister, June Pitts

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 14, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Friday August 15 at 11:00 a.m. Obed Melendez, Certified Life Celebrant, will officiate.
