Marylou Caraballo

Marylou Caraballo (nee Davila), age 72, of Lorain, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2026.

Marylou was a cherished soul, born on July 24, 1954, in Lorain, Ohio, where she spent her entire life surrounded by the community she loved. She graduated from Southview High School in 1971, marking the beginning of a journey filled with warmth and devotion.

Baptized and raised in the nurturing embrace of Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain, Marylou's faith in God was a guiding light throughout her life.

She found immense joy in dancing, listening to Latin music, crocheting, and unwinding with episodes of Grey's Anatomy. Yet, the greatest joy in her life came from the precious moments spent with her beloved children and grandchildren.

Marylou is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tatum Ortiz, and her sons, Duran Salvador Velasquez and Jorell Salvador Velasquez, all residing in Lorain. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, along with her supportive brothers, Israel Davila and Wilfredo Davila, and her devoted sisters, Helen Torres and Alisha Davila.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Salvador and Alcardia (née Soto) Davila. Marylou's spirit will forever be in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and she will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 p.m. at Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.  Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
