Lorain
Mary Weigl (nee Kertesz), age 93 of Lorain, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2026 at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Born November 22, 1932, in Lorain, Ohio to Michael and Helen Kertesz, Mary lived in Lorain for many years. For 40 years she lived in Las Vegas until returning to Lorain in 2024. She worked for Century Link for 29 years, retiring in 1990.
She enjoyed working in her cactus garden and going to the casinos.
Surviving is her son, Christopher Weigl; grandson, Robert Weigl; great grandchildren, Andrew and Samuel and a sister, Betty Zelnik.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 11 years, Robert Weigl; both of her parents as well as many brothers and sisters.
Private family services were held. Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists handled the arrangements.
