Marion Virant, (nee Burich), age 83, of Brookfield, WI and formerly of Lorain, died Monday, June 14, 2004 at Woodland Health Care Center, Brookfield, WI, following a 3 year illness.
Born December 6, 1920 in Lorain, she lived here until moving to Wisconsin 2 years ago.
She was a member of St. Vitus Catholic Church, Lorain, the Croatian Ladies Auxiliary and the St. Vitus Auxiliary.
Surviving is her son: Edward A. (Marie) of Brookfield, WI, grandchildren: Elaine Virant, of Chicago, Illinois, and Alan Virant, of Steamwood, Illinois, great grandchildren, Anita Virant Shubert and Garrison Virant Shubert, both of Chicago, Illinois, sisters: Eleanor Pulgine of Lorain, and a brother, Gilbert Kudrin, of Wellington.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years: Edward J. in 1993, her father: Andro Burich, her mother: the former Anna Kozarick, brothers: Henry Hank Burich in 1998, Martin Burich and Tony Burich and a sister: Joyce Burich.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where a parish rosary will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vitus Catholic Church, 1783 E. 32nd Street, Lorain, Rev. Fr. Simon Nekic, pastor will officiate. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
