Marion McPherson Finnerty, age 85, of Sheffield Lake, died Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at her residence, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Finnerty was born on February 23, 1920 in Glasgow, Scotland. She along with her late husband- Hugh, came to Sheffield Lake in 1959. She was a homemaker. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles and working in her yard. She was also a fan of the television show "Jeopardy."
She is survived by 1 son- Patrick Gerald Finnerty of Columbus, Ohio; 4 daughters- Marion Edwards and Anne Halenar, both of Sheffield Lake, Kathleen Shepherd of North Ridgeville and Deborah Carney of Alexandria, VA; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter; 2 sisters- Margaret McPherson and Elizabeth Lamb, both of Glasgow, Scotland.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years- Hugh Finnerty; 1 grandson- Hugh Edwards; parents- James and Anne (nee-McDonald) McPherson; 2 brothers- Hugh and John McPherson and 1 sister- Mary McDonald.
