Marilyn Federoff

Marilyn Federoff (nee Patrinka) age 73, of Elyria, entered eternal life on Monday, December 31, 2018 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center following chronic illnesses.
Born May 17, 1945 in Cleveland, she graduated from Lincoln High School, Ohio Wesleyan University and a master's degree from Indiana University in Pennsylvania.
The wife of an Orthodox priest, Marilyn and her husband lived in various cities in New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio before settling in Elyria. She worked as a program manager within the State of Ohio Department Rehabilitation and Correction system for 35 years, retiring from the Grafton Correctional Institute.
Marilyn was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Lorain. In her youth, she enjoyed dancing, music and the arts. She served as a choir director and was active in church. Marilyn was always the most helpful person inside and outside of work.
Surviving are her sons, Dr. Theodore (Carol) Federoff of Williamsport, PA and Jason (Pam) Federoff of Boerne, TX; grandchildren, Theadora "Thea", Keegan (Alexis), Alexander, Jason Jr, Logan and Isabella.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Reverend Father Dr. Theodore Federoff in 2012; and her parents, John and Mary (nee Clements) Patrinka.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 5, 2018 at Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, 2238 E. 32nd Street, Lorain, from 9:00 am until the time of funeral services at 12:00 pm. Rev. Fr. Basil Stoyka and Rev. Fr. Joseph McCartney will officiate. Immediately after the funeral service, a reception will be held at the church. Burial will follow at 3:00 pm at St. Theodosius Cemetery, Cleveland.
