Rest in Power Marianne 💜

Marianne has touched my heart and partnered with me in breaking cycles throughout my entire life. First, as my instructor with Head Start when I was a preschooler, then as an instructor for my pre-school/daycare center with CCRC, and finally as a family advocate in the greatest crisis of my life. Marianne was indeed an Angel dedicated to Lorain county's families. Her investment and mentorship have empowered me to enter into the fullness of my purpose. She is my Hero. Her noble example is daily inspiration.

May the Lord comfort Mariann's family. May all who were touched by Marianne's life's work be courageous in paying it forward.

Rich and family. I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you in what I'm sure is a very difficult time.

Marianne Pierro was such a gift to Lorain County for many years. Many of us met her as parents of children in Head Start, some of us met her as a very knowledgeable professor at LCCC, and those of us who worked under her were especially blessed with her guidance and her fairness. I once attended a dinner for Head Start parents and volunteers. The DJ played "It's a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong and everyone was looking at her. It was mentioned that it was her favorite song of all, and I saw how logical it was that her favorite song would be slow and easy -- like her way with all the kids that she loved, and it insisted at looking at the pleasures of life. The obituary mentioned that she volunteered as an advocate for children -- that so suits her. I'll bet she gave those kids love and respect and a bit of looking for the wonderful even in hard times of their lives. I am so glad to have known Marianne Pierro. May her family and friends be comforted by those many years of that kind of love and wisdom right in your own lives.

I was very sorry and saddened to read that Marianne had passed away. When our families were younger we were great close friends. Sorry we drifted apart. I thought of her often. My prayers are with all of you. Roxine Jones

Our Mom's life could never be described in a few words. She raised five of us to live our lives independently, but to be the best we could be. Our Mother never saw color, clothing, or social status...she saw people. I would give anything to have more time with our Mother, but it does give me great pleasure in knowing the lives our Mother has touched. I will miss our Mother every day, and in look forward to the day we see each other again. Rest in peace, world's best Mom.

This loss has shaken the entire family. She was the glue that held the family together. To my kids she was Memaw. Simply the best. My sons, Andrew & Michael, have been Memaws boys since they were born. My daughter is only 6mo old. The great granddaughter she asked my husband and I for. Tammera doesnt doesnt understand what shes lost, but I do. Ive always said best thing I got out of marrying her grandson, Andrew, was her. I was blessed to have the last 9yrs with her but I will always wish for more time. My heart is absolutely broken from losing her on earth but Im celebrating her reuniting in heaven with all the people shes talked about that have gone before her. I know she was jumping for joy at meeting her grandson Ryan, seeing grandma and granddaddy Pierro, aunt Emma, And her daddy!!

At my house heaven just got sweeter and every day we wake up we know we are one day closer to seeing her again.

Our hearts are broken and we are trying to figure out how to get through our lifetimes without you. We love you Memaw!

Marianne was an inspiration in the Early Childhood field! She was involved in so many aspects and encouraged caregivers to strive to be their best for the children they served emphasizing that each child is worthy of our efforts. She will be greatly missed.

Our Mom
Our mom was a great mom who created a great family.
Growing up we never needed for anything.
She always found a way to provide us what we needed.
She never stood in our way and she allowed us to take our own path in life.
She allowed us to be individuals but required us to be family.
She would often remind us that she is the mother, and that we are family.
Again, our mom was a great lady, a great mom, who raised a great family.
We will miss her.

We worked together at HeadStart. She was always nice to me. Marianne always told me she was going to die with her boots on. Sounds like she did. A trooper to the end. Prayers for her loved ones. She was an accomplished woman, dedicated to helping children. Im sure theres a special place in Heaven for her!

Marianne was one of my instructors and I knew her through my father. She was always so cheerful, kind, generous, and had an infectious laugh. My condolences to her family.
