Maria Rivera

Maria Rivera, age 82 of Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 21, 2025 at her home.

She was born July 8, 1942 in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico to Lazaro Rivera Berrios and Francisca Alejandro Diaz. Maria worked as a seamstress for many years.

Maria loved helping others as well as attending church and cooking.

Surviving are her husband, Victor Garcia; children, Jose Santana, Angel (Jodi) Santana, Manuel (Wanda) Santana; grandchildren, Anthony Quillen, Nickolas Santana, Jade Santana, Jose (Sabrina) Santana, Jesus Santana, Gabriella Santana and Jaylene Santana as well as her great grandchildren, Rina Santana and Jacob Santana, Isabella Quillen, Zane Quillen, Kayli Quillen.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
