Margaret V. Super

Margaret Vera Super (nee Kocak), 97, of Amherst, entered eternal life on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Mount Alverna Village in Parma following a lengthy illness.
She was born August 21, 1918 in Lorain to the late Michael and Veronica Kocak, she moved to Amherst in 1950. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1936B and graduated from the former Oberlin School of Commerce. Margaret had worked as an office clerk at The Style Center in Lorain and Lorain Works US Steel.
Margaret was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Lorain, and the Rosary Society of the church. In the years past, she was active at the church making pirohi and nut and poppy seed rolls. She enjoyed china painting, needlework, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her sons, Kenneth (Elena) of Portsmith, New Hampshire and Dennis (Encie) Super MD of Shaker Heights, Ohio; daughter in law, Elizabeth Super of Cove, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren; and a brother, Michael Kocak of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; a son, Randall; and sisters, Mary Krucinski and Helen Super.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where a rosary will be said at 5:00 pm followed by Parastas. Funeral services will be Saturday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 2711 W. 40th Street, Lorain. The Very Reverend Nicholas R. A. Rachford, J.C.L., pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
