Linda M. Akers (nee Wengel), age 70, passed away at her home unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 8, 2017.
She was born May 15, 1947 in Lorain, and lived in Lorain her entire life. Linda graduated from Lorain High School in 1965 and received an Associated Degree from Lorain County Community College.
She worked in the patient billing office at Mercy Region Medical Center for 30 years. Linda enjoyed crafting, painting and bingo.
Surviving are her sons, Christopher Shawn Akers Sr. of Sheffield Lake and Jeffrey Scott Akers of Syracuse, New York; and grandchildren, Colleen Nicole and Christopher Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruno and May Wengel; and a brother Douglas Wengel.
