Kathleen A. Spraggins, age 49, of Lorain, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2011, at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain.
She was born on May 28, 1962 in North Ridgeville, living most of her life in Lorain and surrounding cities. She was a member of the former Sacred Heart Parish, in Elyria, and was currently a member of St. Mary's, in Vermilion. Kathy worked for the Salvation Army, where she was a director of their after-school program for the kids. She loved working with and helping all of the children, whom she adored so much. In return, she was loved by so many people, especially those who had the privilege of knowing her from Sacred Heart.
Kathleen is survived by her brothers; Thomas Anthony and James, a nephew, Aaron Spraggins, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Effie Marie (nee Cavanaugh) Spraggins, in 2010, and her father, James Spraggins.
The family will receive friends on Sat. Jan. 7th, at 11:00 am, at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, for a graveside service. Sister Marietta Starrie, CSJ, will officiate. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Callistian Guild, PO Box 605125, Cleveland, OH 44105.
