Julio Perez, age 70, of Lorain, died on Monday, June 18, 2007 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, following a brief illness.
He was born on January 29, 1937 in Lares, Puerto Rico moving to Lorain in 1977, he has lived here since.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. He was involved with the "Prayer Chain" every Sunday.
Julio enjoyed gardening and working on cars.
He is survived by his sons: Julio, Milton and German Perez, all of Bronx, New York, daughter: Mildred Perez, of Bronx, New York, 3 grandchildren, and 4 brothers: Hector of New Jersey, Almando and Sergio both of New York and William of Puerto Rico, sisters: Carmen Rivera of Puerto Rico and Juana Perez, of New York.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Juan and Isabel (nee Rivera) Perez.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Burial will take place on Monday, June 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, is handling the arrangements.
