Julia Spaur (nee Phillips), age 92, of Lorain, died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center West, Lorain, following a sudden illness.
She was born Sept. 25, 1914 in Kulpmont, PA; she lived in New York before coming to Lorain in the 1940's.
She was a member of Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ, Lorain.
Surviving is her husband of 55 years, Carl; son, Albert of Lorain; 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph of Lorain, and Frank of Lorain; sisters, Esther Cummings of Morrisville, PA, and Betty Kennedy of Chico, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Phillips and Esther (nee Pandy) Phillips; brothers, Stephen Phillips, John Phillips, Bert Phillips and Al Phillips; sister, Mary Wright.
Private visitation and funeral services where held yesterday in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.
