John H. Wright

John H. "Bud" Wright, age 77, of Elyria, died on Friday, May 4, 2012 at University Hospital, Cleveland, following a brief illness.
He was born on June 14, 1934 in Floyd County, Kentucky, moving to Elyria in 1955.
He was employed in the customer service dept. at the Sliman Lumber for 27 years, retiring in 1985.
Bud enjoyed blue grass music, watching wrestling and his animals.
He is survived by his sons, John Wright Jr., of Lorain, Kenneth Wright Sr., and Roger Wright, both of Elyria; daughters, Sherry Nilges, of NC, Susan Thomas of Olmsted Falls and Judith Wright Novak, of Elyria; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Wright of Ironton, OH.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Helen (nee Hall) Wright in 2011; parents, Henry and Anna Mae (nee Taylor) Wright; granddaughter, Charity Wright; sisters, Emma Akers, Lillie Mae Hough, and Mary Hudson.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am. Rev. James Monday, pastor of Praise and Worship, Elyria, will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Avon.
