John Allen

John Allen, age 67 of Lorain passed away unexpectedly on June 23, 2025, at his residence.

Born June 6, 1958, in Cleveland, Ohio to John Allen and Dorothy Abbott, John lived in the Lorain area for many years. He served in the US Navy.

He enjoyed playing bass guitar and listening to music. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving are his children, Cory Allen and Jacob Allen; grandchildren, Lainey Allen, Aurora Allen and Avery Allen; several brothers as well as his nieces, Sheena Lapinskas, Phylicia Henderson Erica Lukachko.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, Lucinda Allen; both of his parents; nephew, Phillip Lapinskas.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 3 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. A private graveside service will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
