Joann Machesky-Shaw (nee Weglicki), 85, of Amherst, died Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Wesleyan Village in Elyria following a lengthy illness.
Born September 4, 1937, in Cleveland, she graduated from West Tech High School in 1955. In 1969, Joann moved to Westlake, then to Amherst in 2008.
She owned and operated Silver Fox Florist in Westlake for 30 years.
Joann loved floral design and boating.
Surviving are her sons, Russell (Roberta) Machesky of Amherst and Mark (Georganna) Machesky of Elyria; grandchildren, Andrew, Spencer, Rachel and Zachary; and a brother, Robert (Barbara) Weglicki of Westlake.
She was preceded by her first husband, Andrew J. Machesky Jr.; second husband, Paul R. Shaw; and parents, Stanley and Francis (nee Suglaski) Weglicki.
