Jacqueline “Jackie” Swiers (nee Miller), passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, in her hometown of Amherst, Ohio.
Born on April 1, 1968, Jackie was a devoted daughter, sister, and mother who touched the lives of many with her kindness and unwavering support.
She graduated from Firelands High School in 1986. Jackie was a proud alumna of Ashland University, where she earned her Master's degree in finance. Her professional journey as a bookkeeper for the Board of Education allowed her to employ her skills in a meaningful way, contributing to the education system that shaped future generations. Jackie’s dedication to her work was matched only by her commitment to her community.
As an active member of Harbourtown Community Church, Jackie spent countless hours volunteering for church functions, embodying her caring and loving personality. She had a unique talent for bringing people together, enjoying the spirit of unity and joy during holiday gatherings that she often hosted. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and interactions with those around her and putting their needs above her own.
She is survived by her daughter, Autumn Swiers, as well as her loving parents, John (Jan Hopkins) Miller and Carla Mullins, and her brother, Dale Miller as well as her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.
