Irma Moreno, 74, of Lorain County, died Saturday, August 6, 2005 at Fairview Hospital in Fairview Park, Ohio, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Moreno was born on August 10, 1930 in Cadereyta, N.L., Mexico. She had lived in Lorain County for most of her life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain. She enjoyed cooking, reading, working in her rose garden and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years- Alfonso Moreno; 4 daughters- Irma M. Volar, Nelida I. Lopez, Linda M. Haehn and Martha I. Pataky, all of Lorain County; 1 son- Robert J. Moreno of Cuyahoga County; 6 grandchildren; 1 sister- Angelica Garza Loa of Monterrey, N.L., Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents- Daniel and Evangelina (nee-DeLaGarza) Cano; 1 brother- Daniel DeLaGarza-Garza; 1 sister- Alma Garza DeGuanely.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain, with the Rev. Fr. William Thaden, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain is handling the arrangements.
