Gail L. Bennett

Gail L. Bennett (nee Barrett), age 82, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2020 at New Life Hospice in Lorain, Ohio, following a short illness.

Born August 7, 1937 to George and Blanche (nee Adams) Barrett in Ada, Ohio, Gail moved to the Lorain area in 1965. She attended Waite High School in Toledo and was a seamstress for all of her adult life.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crossword puzzles and loved spending time with her family, most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She would often use her seamstress skills to make clothing for her family.

Surviving are her children, Victoria (Frank) Wedell, Mary Bronish, Bonnie (Michael) Menthen, Holly (John) VanPelt, Joseph Franco, Vivian (Robert) Kubal, Davi Bennett and Lynda Wright; 22 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Donald Bennett and Michael Franco, as well as her siblings, George, Robert, William, Yvonne and Dennis.

The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation on Saturday, March 14 from 10 – 11 a.m. in the Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.  Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
