Fred A. Wressell Sr.

Fred A. Wressell Sr., age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Admiral's Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation in Huron, Ohio following a lengthy illness.

Born December 9, 1934 to Harold Wressell Sr. and Doris Heys Howard in Lorain, Fred lived in Ohio his entire life.  He attended Clearview High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957.  Later he worked as a maintenance machinist at Nelson Stud Welding.

He loved fishing and watching his children and grandchildren play sports.

Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Concepcion (nee Maldonado) Wressell; children, Amy Wressell, Avonelle Wressell, Bernadine (Larry) Boyd, Constance Wressell and Fred Wressell Jr.; grandchildren, James, Walker, Tyler, Brittany and Joseph and great grandchildren, Abel and Kane.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Beatrice, Harold, Avonelle, Donna and Charles.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 2 from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 3 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.  Pastor Lorrie Bandagski wilil officiate.  Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon with Military Honors provided by AMVets Post 32.
