Evonne M. Zelina

Evonne M. Zelina passed away Friday, July 31, 2026, at her home in Wellington.

Born Feb. 14, 1948, in Lorain, she was the daughter of the late Paul J. Benczi and Mabel L. Benczi (nee Barlow). Evonne attended Lorain High School and was known for her strong work ethic, holding various jobs throughout her life. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and family, and liked to watch professional basketball and football, and go to casinos.

Evonne is survived by her children: Chris (Chris) Null, Sherri (Jeff) Guyeska, David Fitzgerald, and Daniel Fitzgerald. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Sara, Nicholas, Anthony, Benjamin, Ellie, Addasyn, Miles, Kyler, Jaxsyn, and Grayson; her great-grandchildren: Zoe and Axl; and her great-great-grandson, Jeremiah.

She was preceded in death by her husbands: Harold Devon Fitzgerald in 1995, and John Zelina in 2017; her daughter, Terry L. Arvanitis; her great-grandson, Robert; and her brothers, Timothy Benczi and Gary Benczi.
