Efigenia Plaza (nee Morales Cruz), 88, of Lorain, passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 at Life Care Center of Westlake following a lengthy illness.
Born September 2, 1924 in Juncos, Puerto Rico, she came to Lorain many years ago. In the early 1990's she returned Puerto Rico to live and returned to Lorain in 2005.
She was a member of Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer, Lorain, and enjoyed cooking and crocheting.
Surviving is her son, Carlos (Sherie) Plaza of Lorain; grandchildren, Carlos Plaza Jr, Gabriel Plaza and Alexis Plaza all of Lorain; a brother, Martin Morales of Puerto Rico; and a sister Faviana Morales of Puerto Rico.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Agapito Plaza in 2005; 8 brothers including her twin, and a sister.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer, 3660 Globe Avenue, Lorain. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of services at 11:00 am in the church. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
