Edith M. Moody

Edith M. Moody (nee Dodson) age 83, of Lorain, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at Oak Hills Nursing Center following a lengthy illness.
Born July 8, 1934 in Lakeland, PA, she moved to Lorain in 1953 where she has lived since. Edith was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and puzzle books.
Surviving are her children, Walter D. Moody Jr. of Uniontown, PA; Doris Moody of Lorain and Helen Moody of Carrolton, TX; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Paul, Raymond and Ralph; and sisters, Betty, Carrie, Naomi and Judy.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Walter D. Moody Sr. in 1992; brothers, Wayne and Robert; and a sister, Mildred.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where funeral services will be Tuesday at 12:00 pm. Elder Tyrone Holley of New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church of Lorain will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
