Donald Gdovin

Don F. Gdovin, 75, of Dover, Ohio and formerly of Kent passed away September 13, 2019 at Hennis Care Centre in Dover.  

He was born to the late Joseph and Helen Gdovin.  Don was brother to Raymond Gdovin, Laura (Gdovin) Vozar and David Gdovin.

During his lifetime, Don worked several years for the Standard Oil Company/British Petroleum.  With his love of food both eating and cooking, he later worked for Heinen's Grocery Store.

Don was involved with the Knights of Columbus while a parishioner at Saint Patrick's in Kent, Ohio.  He enjoyed card playing with friends, a variety of sports including roller skating and track in his younger years, and watching classic old movies.

Don will be greatly missed by his children: Marlo Gdovin-Nowak, Craig (Angie) Gdovin, Bret (Nancy) Gdovin and numerous grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 18, 2019 at 11:30 am at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Don’s name to The Alzheimer's Association.
