Dean A. della Volpe

Lakewood

Dean Angelo della Volpe, aka “Dino,” preceded in death by parents Nick and Norma (nee Ciraci).   Husband forever of Joyce (nee Pasky).   Father of Nick (deceased), best golf buddy Tom, and Kelly (Chris), and grandpa of Daniel and Wyatt.
Brother of Julie (Larry), and Christy.  Cousin and uncle to many, and humble servant of Jacqui the Dog (deceased).  Dino’s earliest goal was to live fast and die young.   He didn’t achieve this and pretty much enjoyed his many days under the sun, from which he profited in some small measure.  He tried not to take himself too seriously, was disappointed he did anyway, but didn’t get too vexed by this either.  He always said: “If I live to be 90, I’ll know two things:  There is a God and He hates me.”  If there is a God, He may not have hated Dino, who only made it to 69.   At the direction of decedent, no services or memorials are forthcoming.  People who knew him, or thought they did, should feel free to speak ill of him, which he would have preferred to exaggerating his few good qualities.  Because he believed life is short, fleeting and mainly in vain, he would also be content if you never gave him another thought:

“Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:  But if a man live many years, and rejoice in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many.  All that cometh is vanity.”  Ecclesiastes, 11:7-8 (King James Version)
