Darlene Short

Darlene Ann Short (nee Neiding), 69, of Lorain, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Lake Pointe Health Center, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
Born June 8, 1942 in Sandusky, Ohio, she lived in Vermilion for most of her life. From 1968 thru 1980 she lived in North Ridgeville. She then lived in Elyria before moving to Lorain.
Darlene worked as a clerk for Goodwill Industries in Lorain for several years, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed walking and collecting stamps.
Surviving are her sons, Richard of Elyria, and Michael of Avon; and 5 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Mildred (nee Cothern) Neiding; and brothers, Jerry, Ronald and Richard.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 17th, 2012 at 1:00 pm in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Rev. Noel Hack, pastor of First Baptist Church, LaGrange, will officiate. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain is handling the arrangements.
