Dalee A. Abraham (née Martin), age 79, of Elyria, entered eternal life unexpectedly on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.
Born September 4, 1946, in Vermilion to the late Hoarce and Maude (née Green) Martin, she was raised in Wakeman, where she graduated from Western Reserve High School in 1964.
Dalee married the love of her life, Arthur “Archie” Abraham, in 1974, and together they made their home in Elyria where she has lived since. For many years, she worked alongside her husband in their business endeavors, playing a major role in their success.
A devoted mother and cherished grandmother, Dalee’s love, wisdom, and warmth shaped generations of her family. As the matriarch, she led with quiet strength, grace, and unwavering commitment to those she loved.
She was a movie enthusiast and a dedicated Cleveland sports fan, particularly enjoying attending Cavaliers games. Dalee had a passion for travel, gardening, cooking, and nature. She was a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in South Amherst and held a special devotion to St. Joseph, the Sacred Heart, and the Blessed Virgin Mary.
In addition to her husband of 51 years, she also leaves behind her loving children: Damon (Jen), Daren, Derek (Jenny), and Adriane; her precious grandchildren, Reed, Emma, Gavin, Griffy, Kadin, Sloan, Keara, and Kayla; and her dear sisters, Gayleen and Juanita.
Dalee was preceded in death by her brothers, Gaylord and Boyd, and her dearest best friend, Gail Gauman.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 4, from 10:30 am until the time of mass at noon at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 333 S. Lake Street, South Amherst. Rev. Timothy O’Connor, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Amherst.
