Constance T. "Connie" Schilling, (nee Potiowsky), 75, of Lorain, died Friday, September 9, 2005 at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, following a short illness.
She was born July 1, 1930 in Lorain and lived here her entire life.
She graduated from Lorain High School in 1948.
For many years, Constance worked as a waitress for the Polish American Citizens Club kitchen in Lorain. Prior to that, she worked at JC Penny's in Lorain as a salesperson for many years.
She enjoyed reading, bingo, crossword puzzles, traveling and ceramics.
Surviving is her daughter Paulette Bobrowski of Lorain; granddaughters, Laura, Christine and Sheri all of Lorain; a brother, Thomas Potiowsky of Lorain; sisters, Ann Sauvey and Lucie Sedivy both of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1998; her parents, Peter Potiowsky in 1977, and Mary (nee Rakowski) Potiowsky in 1981; a brother, John J. Potiowsky in 1986; and a sister, Clara Wolodzko in 1994.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by mass at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Chuck Henkle, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
