Columbus J. Tomblin, a dedicated crane operator and beloved member of the community, passed away on May 4, 2026, in Lorain, Ohio. Born on July 12, 1972, in Elyria, Ohio, Columbus lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a warm spirit that touched all who knew him.
For many years, Columbus served as a skilled crane operator at B & T Express in Sheffield, Ohio, where his commitment to safety and precision exemplified his professional integrity. Yet beyond his career, Columbus was known for his vibrant participation in his social circles, especially through his enjoyment of the "Shake Dogs" social club and his creative engagement in candle making, pursuits that brought him joy and fostered meaningful connections.
Columbus’s life was cherished by his loving family. He is survived by his daughter, Alisa (Devin) Supple, his son, Grayson Tomblin, and his granddaughter, Bailey. He also leaves behind his brothers Daniel (Rennie) Tomblin, Jamie (April ) Tomblin, and Kenneth Hudson, his sister Candie Radjenovic, and his mother Linda Tomblin. These family members carry forward his legacy, holding dear the memories and values he instilled.
He was preceded in death by his father, Columbus R. Tomblin, his biological mother, Deborah Anderson, and his brothers Archie James Tomblin and Leon Hudson, whose memories remain deeply woven into the fabric of his life.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on May 23, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Dovin Funeral And Cremation Specialists, located at 2701 Elyria Ave, Lorain, OH 44055. This gathering will be a time to honor Columbus's memory and to celebrate a life well lived.
