Cecilia J. Kowalczyk (nee Dudziak), 89 of Lorain, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Pine Valley Care Center in Richfield, Ohio following a lengthy illness.
Born June 17, 1925 in Lorain, she lived in Lorain her entire life.
She was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Lorain. Cecilia was a homemaker and enjoyed bingo, dancing and walking.
Surviving are her sons, Frank (Kim) of State College, PA, and Thomas (Pat) of Hinckley, Ohio; a daughter, Jean Marie (David) Miller of Sebastian, FL; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joseph in 1998; her parents, Karl and Katherine (nee Kulik) Dudziak; brothers, Leonard Dudziak and Richard Dudziak; and sisters, Mary Erving, Emily Torrens, Frances Rapolz and Veronica Palmer.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by mass at 10:00 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 418 W. 18th Street, Lorain. Rev. Robert J. Glepko, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
