Catherine Marie Santiago

Catherine Marie Santiago (nee Little) went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2014.
Catherine was born in Holidays Cove, West Virginia on February 2, 1934 and passed away at Golden Acres Nursing Home, Amherst, after a lengthy illness.
She was a member of North Lake Baptist Church, South Amherst, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with all her relatives. Catherine was famous for her potato salad and known for her fun loving personality.
Surviving is her son, Charles (Linda) Keyes, of Amherst; daughters, Karen (Ken) Layport of Lorain and April (Brian) Hanzel of Lorain; brothers, Donald (Jeanne) Little, of Neuville Quebec, Canada, and Larry (Linda) Little of Amherst; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Abraham Jose Santiago in 1999; parents, Charles S. and Hazel (nee Fulmer) Little; a brother, Charles Little; and sisters, Viola Taylor, Shirley Snodgrass and Norma Jean Minto.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Cliff Morris, pastor of Lakeview Baptist Church, Vermilion. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
