Catherine L. "Cathy" Kopp

Catherine L. “Cathy” Kopp, age 57, of Lorain, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025, at her residence.

Born April 21, 1968, she lived in the Lorain area her entire life. Cathy attended Southview High School.

Cathy valued hard work and became an invaluable asset to each job that she had ever worked.

She was well-known for her kindness and self-sacrificing nature. Cathy had a hard time telling people no, because she worried about others before herself.

Her favorite things to do were spending time with her family and going thrift shopping. She also had an undeniable passion for clothes and shoes.

Cathy was an adored aunt and great aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Cathy leaves behind her beloved children: George (Sarah Jane Toy) Janosik, Destiny (Kyle) Franke, and Christopher Russo, along with a brother and three sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Kopp in 2005 and Betty J. Kopp (née Spencer) in 2015; and her two brothers.

The family plans to celebrate Cathy's life with a memorial service in the Spring at a date and location to be announced.
